Ruqaiijah A. Yearby, JD, MPH is David L. Brennan Professor of Law at Case Western Reserve University School of Law. Using empirical data, her research explores how laws designed to eradicate racial health disparities tend to exacerbate problems by erecting significant barriers to accessing quality health care. Bridging the gaps among numerous disciplines, her work has been used in courses at NYU and the University of California Berkeley and cited in Implicit Racial Bias Across the Law (Cambridge Univ. Press 2012) and the United States Code Annotated. Professor Yearby earned her Master of Public Health in Health Policy & Management from Johns Hopkins School of Public Health and her law degree from Georgetown University Law Center.
