Abigail Fisher Williamson

Abigail Fisher Williamson, PhD, MPP is Associate Professor of Political Science and Public Policy & Law at Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut. Her book Welcoming New Americans? Local Governments and Immigrant Incorporation (forthcoming from the University of Chicago Press, 2018) analyzes municipal responses to immigrants and the impact of municipal policies on social and political incorporation. Dr. Williamson is a co-editor of The Politics of New Immigrant Destinations: Transatlantic Perspectives (Temple University Press, 2017). Her research has received funding from the Pew Charitable Trusts, the Ruth Landes Memorial Fund, and Time-Sharing Experiments in the Social Sciences (TESS). She holds a PhD and Masters in Public Policy from Harvard and a BA from Williams College.
